I'm Richard Heinrich and I will be writing this blog to broadcast my journey through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in an attempt to persuade people to learn the art.

Screencast - Armlock from Closed Guard
My screencast is an instructional video on how to apply an armlock. An armlock can be applied from many different positions, but in this video, I will show you how to apply it from the closed guard. I will also teach you how to control your opponent even when it seems like you are at a disadvantage. Feel free to try the move at home, but make sure you don't crank on the arm too hard!!! If you follow the steps properly, you won't have any problem pulling off the move.Click here to learn how to properly apply an armlock from the closed guard.

The audio recording was a bit low, but it was very decent.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that the audio was a bit low, but it was not too low. Very good explanation of what is happening in the images, and why they are happening.
ReplyDeleteAwesome video and explanation. This is a really interesting sport/hobby. I'm really considering checking into it. And yes the audio volume is low but it can still be heard. Great job.
ReplyDeleteYour audio script was excellent, with a great explanation of the particular hold. I think you could have improved the slide show with a stop action shots of how the participants got into the hold. The first image was on the screen a long time.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the audio, it played back fine on my computer speakers. I guess I bought a sub par microphone, but I wasn't going to spend a lot on an expensive microphone. I spoke loudly directly into the microphone, but I guess that's what I get for purchasing a $10 mic.
ReplyDeletePictures at all the angles involved with move would have helped along with your explanation. I would to see a sample video of the move being used in a real natch and not just a practice situation.
