Well, I'm still injured so I haven't been training but I wanted to post a video of a rear naked choke being done in a self defense situation. I posted a video of the technique being done on the ground in my previous blog post, but some people thought it may be difficult to get into position to apply the choke. The choke can be applied from a standing position fairly easily and I have attached a video below to demonstrate how.
This clears up a lot of what I assumed would be a problem. I had thought that the person doing the move would need to have quite a bit of height advantage on the other person, which would be easy if the person receiving the choke was sitting. The knee kick really eliminates most of the height difference there is.

Thanks for the comment, I am getting better so I should be training next week. I also agree that the knee kick is so critical. It's such a simple detail that many don't even think about.
